With jazz-styled drums, retro electric guitar & keyboard, and layers of interwoven backing vocals, “Nostalgic Night” feels like a dreamy 1960s lo-fi jazz piece but with subtly applied electronic elements giving it a modern twist. It's about how easily seduced we can be by a romanticized version of past events, particularly when reflecting on one's youth, and we prefer to bask in blissful memories than to engage with the much more tangible here and now.
